Kinetek Expands China Technology and Manufacturing Base through Joint Venture with Shaft and Gearing Leader, Jinghe Machine Co. Ltd

Kinetek, a global leader in the design and manufacture of motors, controls, and motion control systems has announced a joint venture agreement with Guangzhou City, China-based Jinghe Machines Co. Ltd (JH), a leading Chinese shaft and gearing manufacturer for the power tool and automotive market segments. World class customers of precision JH parts include Makita, Hitachi, Bosch, Panasonic, Black & Decker, Mitsubishi, Siemens, and Kinetek.
Kinetek president and chief operating officer, Randy Bays, announced the formation of the new joint venture company. “JH is an outstanding company with a sterling record of meeting the exacting manufacturing requirements of leading companies around the world, including Kinetek. Working with JH as a supplier over the past several years, I have been extremely impressed with their technology, capability and management team led by Mr. Mintao He. The formation of this new company is a direct result of the high regard in which we hold JH and their professional team.”
The JH partnership will provide significant benefits according to Norman Bates, Kinetek’s senior vp, business development, who oversaw formation of the new joint venture company, to be called KJH (Kinetek Jinghe). “Our new alliance will provide Kinetek with low cost engineering and R & D resources for product development, and engineering for shafts, gearing and complete mechanical drive systems. We also gain additional testing and manufacturing capability in China, and increased access to global markets and the fast growing China marketplace.”
ISO 9001:2000 -certified JH markets its products through direct sales to OE customers, particularly multi-national companies. Approximately 34% of JH sales are derived from export sales, including European, Japanese and North American customers, including Kinetek operating companies, Imperial Electric, Euclid Universal, Kinetek De Sheng (KDS) and Advanced Motors & Drives.
